No — we tattoo over-18s only, and we'll ask for ID. It's the law in South Africa and we don't make exceptions. (Piercings are different — see the piercing section.)

It depends on size, detail, placement and how long it takes. Smaller pieces are charged at a set rate, while larger and custom work is quoted per session. You'll get an exact, honest price at your free consultation — before you commit to anything.

Your deposit secures your date and pays for the custom drawing time your artist invests before you even sit down. It's subtracted from your final price. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to one reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice.

Honestly? A bit — but it's very manageable, and most people are surprised it's easier than they feared. Pain depends on placement (ribs and feet are spicier than arms). We work at a pace you're comfortable with and take breaks when you need them.

Often, yes. Bring it in (or send a clear photo on WhatsApp) and we'll tell you honestly what's possible — cover-up, rework or touch-up — and what design directions will work best.

Ray is our professional piercer. Every piercing uses single-use, pre-sterilised needles and quality jewellery, with clear aftercare so you heal well.

Yes, with a parent or legal guardian present who brings ID and gives consent. Some placements have minimum ages — ask us and we'll advise.

Lobes and nostrils are usually fine as walk-ins during open hours. For cartilage, facial and other piercings, booking ahead means Ray can give you his full attention.

Lobes around 6 weeks; cartilage and others can take several months. Clean it twice daily with saline, don't twist the jewellery, and keep it out of pools — see the full piercing aftercare guide.

For a fresh piercing we use our own implant-grade jewellery to give it the best chance to heal. Once healed, we're happy to help you change to your own pieces.
