Advocate Sipho Mahlangu is a legal practitioner with a diverse background in law and corporate governance. Sipho has a strong foundation in labour law, having appeared in various arbitration forums, including the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa (AFSA), the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), and bargaining councils. He has appeared in the Labour Court on trials, reviews, urgent applications, and other matters. Additionally, he has experience in the High Court, where he has conducted trials and appeared on opposed applications.
Prior to becoming an advocate, Sipho worked at Statucor (Pty) Ltd as a Senior Company Secretary Consultant from 2007 to April 2009. He then held company secretary positions at African Rainbow Minerals Limited from May 2009 to March 2010 and at Absa from April 2010 to April 2012. In May 2012, Sipho joined Nampak as the Deputy Group Company Secretary, a position he held until December 2016. During his tenure at Nampak Pension Fund from August 2014 to December 2016 and as a Member of the Investment Committee to the Pension Fund from March 2016 to December 2016.
