Prior to joining the Bar, she was employed by the office of the chief Justice as a court interpreter and that is where her interest in litigation  developed, and she furthered her studies towards archiving this goal and on 15 June 1017 she was admitted as an advocate in the High Court of South Africa.

Adv Maphosa, is innovative and highly effective at developing creative case strategies as well as writing persuasive briefs. She thrives in dynamic environments and adapts easily to ever changing demands of the legal field. She is excellent at trial preparation, research and drafting legal documents. She a strong leader and has great mediation skills.
